Aims of CACE

Although the Carse of Gowrie is a beautiful area of Scotland to live in, before 1995 there were few local educational and recreational activities available for adults. A group of enthusiastic volunteers set about organising the Carse Association for Continuing Education (CACE) and launched the first term of classes for adults in the autumn of 1995 with the support of the local education authority.

CACE is a 'not for profit' organisation and its objectives, enshrined in its constitution (click here to view a copy) are to improve the social environment for the residents of the Carse of Gowrie. We do this by organising a wide range of educational and recreational activities. CACE also liaises with local authorities, other voluntary organisations and the residents of the Carse in order to promote its activities.

Since 1995 CACE has organised three terms of classes every year. It has become very successful and is now one of the largest independent organisations in Perthshire that run adult education and recreation classes. We hope you will find one or more of our classes that interest you and will join in our activities in the near future.
