The Trout Fly Fishing tutor Sandy Forgan is well known and respected in fishing circles. He has fished in the Scottish International Fly Fishing Team on a number of occasions (having been team manager, and team captain). He has also competed in the World Fly-fishing Championships in Wales, Tasmania and in Finland (Scottish World FF Team). Amongst other national commitments he has been president of the national governing body... Scottish Anglers National Association, and writes for angling and natural history magazines on a regular basis.
The basic course content will run as follows:
Each class will include a presentation of around 30 - 40 minutes, a period of informal discussion, then a practical session / demonstrations/ film / video / fly-tying. The main topics covering:
‘Carse Voices’ – a fun informal singing group led by Debra Salem from Horsecross Arts for Spring term 2012. Please note, you don’t need to read music to join in and no experience is required.
Both in Belfast and in Perth, Debra has directed choirs with her own acapella vocal arrangements which span folk songs to classic rock songs. In Perth, she set up Craigie Community Choir which has backed and recorded with Runrig, got down to the last 28 choirs in the BBC Television competition 'Last Choir Standing' and sang with Chinese pop artist Hao Yun at Perth Concert Hall.
